Rebuild Kits
A deluxe kit for a transmission rebuild is an advanced, often premium rebuild kit that includes not only the essential parts found in a banner kit and standard overhaul kit but also a wider range of components to tackle more extensive repairs. Transtar’s banner kit includes: paper & rubber kit, metal clad seals, ring kit, friction clutches, steel plates, bonded pistons, filter, modulator, band, bushing kit, and popular washers.
A deluxe kit, less steels is a comprehensive set of replacement parts for overhauling an automatic transmission, excluding the steel plates (steels), which are typically reused from the original transmission.
A less steels kit is a set of replacement parts for rebuilding an automatic transmission, excluding the steel plates (steels), which are usually in good condition and can be reused.
A master rebuild kit for a transmission rebuild is a more complete version of a standard overhaul kit. It includes all the essential parts found in an overhaul kit but goes a step further by adding additional components necessary for a thorough rebuild. Transtar’s master rebuild kit includes: paper & rubber kit, metal clad seals, ring kit, and friction clutches.

A sub kit is a supplementary set of parts included within a larger transmission rebuild kit, designed to address specific components or issues in the transmission that usually focuses on smaller sections such as a clutch sub kit, seal sub kit, bearing sub kit, and band sub kit.
A super kit is an all-inclusive, premium kit designed for a complete transmission overhaul that contains every essential part needed for a full rebuild, often with additional high-quality or upgraded components for improved durability and performance.
